This was a short tour, by any standards! One show, one night - at the always special WOMAD Festival in Charleton Park, England.
When we played at WOMAD '07 it was very rainy and muddy, so that was a concern this year,
as we rehearsed in the days leading up to the show.
One big change this time: string players, to accompany Peter on a couple of new songs.
From Peter's upcoming Scratch My Back CD, we would do his Book of Love and Paul Simon's Boy In The Bubble. The
strings would also join us on Darkness.
Saturday, our day at the festival, turned out to be sunny and clear. Yay!
This time (minus the mud) I had time to stop by some of the colorful shops
and revel at the food options...
As evening approached, to the surprise of nobody who has spent time in England, the wind picked up and ominous clouds appeared quickly
Showtime approached, with a some rain in spurts... but it quickly eased up.
