BRATISLAVA

           Bratislava

We went directly to the venue again - no time to see or get photos of Bratislava.

Quite a difference today in the soundcheck audience. Every day people pay extra for a special ticket package that allows them, among other things, to be at soundcheck.

Today there was only one person! Peter invited him up onstage to listen from there!

Before the show, my usual black and white shot of the local crew guys, who will be part of the show, in their ninja outfits...

Maybe they've seen the web diary and were expecting this! They asked me to join them in a picture

Thanks to Dan Lavi for taking these.

Michele, tuning my Stick

Showtime!

Things don't always run perfectly... here Dan and Dickie are trying to fix something on Peter's keyboard rig, while he's off singing at the front of the stage

After the show, I found the bathroom mirror lights pretty interesting... couldn't resist a selfie...

BUDAPEST

           Budapest

I'm going with mostly pictures on this page, so I can fit three shows in

Before the show starts, Pete, one of the carpenters, goes onstage for a last minute sweep up.

It's always amusing how many in the audience think it's the other Peter!

Or maybe they know, and are just impatient for the show to start!

BUCHAREST

           Bucharest

Again no time in the city - and another very large venue,

and this one with a very high ceiling, it's center light matching the overhead circle of our stage

It's a bit like staring into the sun!

With a lot of space around the seats, it was a good chance for me to get full shots of our stage

and to realize, once again, how much work and engineering goes into putting on these nightly shows.

When, near the end of the show, Peter gives a big thanks to all the crew and technicians, he's helping the audience give some thought, too, to all this rigging, all the flying spotlights with people sitting in them, all the p.a. that's hanging above us... and of course those insect-like lighting machines that crawl around the stage

Later, crew onstage, we're ready to start...

Here we go...

Always fun to get shots of the photographers, who are allowed into the area right in front of the stage, for a few songs in the set.

I finally got lucky and caught a decent shot of some of the spotlight crew, hovering overhead all night, usually in the dark

Well, there's our swing through Bratislava, Budapest and Bucharest.
