| Monday Night in San Francisco Live Double CD of The California Guitar Trio with Tony Levin |
Bohemian Rhapsody Elephant Talk Melrose Place |
|
| Recorded by the band to represent what the concert actually sounds like, this has an ambient sound,
all the band introductions to pieces, and plenty of audience reactions (especially their singing on Bohemian Rhapsody!) It's a double CD - the lengths of the CD's are 56 and 46:25 minutes - so the listener gets the whole concert experience. Papa Bear Records has a limited number of copies of the CD (and a very small number of copies autographed by the players) but the CD will also continue to be sold on the CGT web site (link below.) |

The California Guitar Trio and Tony Levin have a history going back to the mid '90's when the Trio opened for over 130 King Crimson shows. From 1999, Tony had occasionally joined the group in concert. In April and May 2000, they toured the U.S together, ending on the West Coast. San Francisco's Great American Music Hall seemed an ideal place to record the concert, with its excellent acoustics, and enthusiastic crowd, so on May 1st, the recording took place. |
